Still Brazy is the second studio album by American rapper YG. It was made available for streaming on June 14, 2016, via Apple Music.[1] It was released for physical and digital download purchases on June 17, 2016,[2][3] by 400, CTE World and Def Jam Recordings.[4] YG enlisted the production on the album that was handled and provided such as Ty Dolla $ign and Hit-Boy; as well as enlisted collaborators from Lil Wayne, Drake, Nipsey Hussle and Slim 400, among others.

The album was supported by four singles: "Twist My Fingaz", "Still Brazy", "FDT" featuring Nipsey Hussle, and "Why You Always Hatin?" featuring Drake and Kamaiyah, while headlining or promoting a tour.[5]

Singles

The lead single from the album, called "Twist My Fingaz" was released on July 17, 2015. The production on this track was provided by West Coast's hip hop producer Terrace Martin.

The second single from the album, called "FDT" (which stylized for its explicit title, called "F*** Donald Trump"), was released on March 30, 2016. The song features guest vocals from a fellow American rapper Nipsey Hussle, with unknowingly by southern hip hop producer DJ Swish, who provides the production on this track. Much of the original lyrics in the single version was censored and replaced with newer verses on the album after YG revealed the government contacted his label regarding the song.

The album's third single, "Why You Always Hatin?" was released on May 21, 2016. The song premiered by Oliver El-Khatib on the OVO's Sound Radio show. The song features guest vocals from a Canadian rapper Drake and Oakland's recording artist Kamaiyah, with the production that was provided by this producer, named CT Beats.

Promotional singles

The album's promotional single, called "I Want a Benz" was released on December 12, 2015. The song features guest vocals from these fellow American rappers Nipsey Hussle and 50 Cent, with the production that was provided by London on da Track. The track also premiered by Oliver El-Khatib on the twelfth episode of the OVO's Sound Radio show.

Still Brazy received universal acclaim from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from critics, the album received an average score of 84, which indicates "universal acclaim", based on 8 reviews.[6]

Commercial performance

In his home country of United States, Still Brazy debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200, with 38,000 equivalent album units; it sold 27,000 copies, and boasted over 12.1 million streams in its first week.[15] It marked YG's second top ten album in Billboard 200.[16]
