Emergenza

Emergenza is a European and North American music festival for up and coming bands. Fifteen years ago Emergenza was born in Europe from a group of passionate musicians in need of expression. In the past few years, Emergenza has become the most widespread, reliable, and well-known musical event in respect of numbers, visibility, facilities, partnerships and contracts offered to bands.

In what is a "Battle of the Bands" style format, local and regional artists from around the world compete for votes in a series of live concerts, with those that secure the most votes advancing to further rounds. Bands are supplied with and encouraged, though not required, to sell tickets to their friends.

Criticism

It should be noted that Emergenza has often in the past been accused of taking advantage of the artists that sign up for their events.
