Opting in to VisualEditor

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:15, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent addition of an image at the Yemenia article

Dear Egard89, please note that I have undone your edit by which File:Yemenia A330.jpg was added to the article. This has been done because of two reasons: First, your upload is of inferior quality compared to other images of Yemenia's Airbus A330s, and (as you can see at the respective page at Wikimedia Commons), I think the image is not properly licensed. Best regards.--FoxyOrange (talk) 13:52, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ah, sorry for the error, the image itself was of good quality, though it has been cropted due to time-saving act. you can retrive the original image from here together with the author's origin on the image.--Egard89 (talk) 14:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:ShowMakyonginRama5.jpg

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:14, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MH370 and Adam air

I think the Adam Air link can stay. While there is no connection between them, a flight that disappeared over Malaysia is of significance. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:58, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

but then again, the air france flight was more correlated compared to the adam air case. plus, the latter had vanished above the indonesian airspace, Malaysia and Indonesia are not a same country. --Egard89 (talk) 15:43, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
True, but it was in the same vicinity. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:10, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content

Please, rather than to remove some part of the article just like what you did on this. Can you do some copy-edit if you feel the paragraph need a rewording? Also, please do not change like this without referring to the citation given. If you want to change it, you must include an additional citation to support the claim. ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 18:55, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Being partly a Sabahan-Bugis in origin, i was quite disgraced by how the section to described my own kind. *sigh* --Egard89 (talk) 15:14, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, I thought you are a Peninsular editor. But I respect for all Sabahan natives regardless of any races and religion. The paragraph need as well to mention the illegal immigrants from neighbouring country who is currently unstoppable influx the native communities of Sabah. I understand there is also a native Bugis and Suluk in Sabah who have lived since long ago before the formation of Malaysia, but still there is a need for the description of the non-natives too. If you feel there should be a rewording on that paragraph, feel free to do it instead of removing the whole sentence including the important note below. ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 15:42, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, no, not that silly. The slang part which that annoys me though, but i have to agree on the influx of the migrants in Sabah. So much so in Tawau where the distinction between the locals and Indonesians are being diluted due to the common ancestral origin, high level of intermarriage and interaction. Moreover, if the article wanted to include Sabah, they should address many of the neighboring diasporas as well, say the Bugis in North and East Kalimantan as well. so yeh.
Anyway, hello there fellow Sabahan wikipedian =) --Egard89 (talk) 16:10, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that's why. But I think you can fix the paragraph with reliable source just like you did on the Riau-Lingga Sultanate. Haha, lol, for almost 4 years (since December 2011) I contributing here I didn't know that you are a Sabahan too. I see you have editing since November 2006, similar like our fellow friends like Kawaputra and Danazach which I have met earlier. :) ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 16:30, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and won't you mind if I create the SVG versions of the Riau-Lingga Sultanate flags section? I will draw it whenever I have any free time because I love to draw flags. :) ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 16:38, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, User:Egard89, nice to meet you here. My purpose of elevating wiki articles to Good articles status is to raise the dignity of East Malaysians. We East Malaysians do not live on trees and we do have crappy TM streamyx connection also. We also have public and private universities although reputation and popularity is not as high as those in West Malaysia.Cerevisae (talk) 22:34, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, same here Cerevisae, even Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore have a much better internet speed than us. Our country supposedly allow other Internet companies to operate rather than just hold the hope to TM, just like what Cambodia do to invite more investment on their internet. But what to do larr, so many "monopoly" in our country, even Astro have control all the television since 1996 with nonsense price and poor broadcast programme. I ever think to use a "parabola" at once but the provider told me that I have to get a license for that or ending up being sued and go to "jail" if found guilty using it "illegally". Meanwhile Astro been excluding from such rule and doesn't need any license at all, so weird. Only after 18 years, a new satellite TV provider, the MYTV been allowed to beat Astro. *Sigh*. Not just this, even the "illegal immigrants" issues have became so hot in the ear of our people in Sabah. I remember before the 2013 incident happen, when I share the story to some of my Peninsular friends, they will said like this "tak apa lah, mereka cari makan juga, orang Sabah je yg trlalu fobia @ racist". Nahh, when the incident in late 2013 happen, only now they know the real situation and the "attitude" of the illegals. They think this issue will only hit Sabah but when the issue have spread to other states they will also get the impact such as the Ambank murder and many other robbery cases committed by illegal immigrants. Many Peninsular still didn't know when the illegals have become too many, they will dare to bully you, especially when the illegals came from any "war countries". I told the truth as I have experiencing it and have happen to one of my family. Actually Sabahan are not racist, but they have suffered this problem since a long time ago and if any Peninsular peoples read the whole comments in this news, they will know even the black people fight each other and become "racist" when any of their peoples committed crime in other country. ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 05:10, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suffered first hand racism from my own so-called sabahan comrades till the extend that I have to move out from my rumah sewa. The notion of the sabahan people are not racist in my opinion evaporated to thin air after that. :/ --Egard89 (talk) 13:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Weird, why would they do such thing to you if you are a native? Even I have many friends from different races do not have such problems like that, we are freely discuss about the illegal immigrants without any problems and all of us agreed with it. ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 14:15, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Basically i have to move out due to the different religious practice, some things are just too delicate to be discussed here man. But my sister and mom suffered even at the similar degree of racism in sabah (and that was inflicted from a woman from the same religious belief as us! - won't disclose the details though). Oddly enough that the west-malaysian malays that accept me as their own kind instead. But don't get me wrong, i'm "not" implying that all sabahans are racist and vice-versa for the west malaysians, but it is just that there are good and bad apples everywhere by the end of the day. Though based on my experience, i heard the east malaysians that lamented that the west malaysians to be racist, but on the other hand i never did heard that my west malaysian friends complained about east malaysians, many even complimented the natural beauty and the harmony of the east malaysia instead. (and no, even some of my peninsular friends didn't realised that i'm an east malaysian, just for the record)--Egard89 (talk) 15:49, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Seems we are facing a different situation here. Yep, I'm ultimately agree with your word that "bad peoples is everywhere". Luckily for my story, since I was born here I already lived with many different races neighbours. A guy who stay at the left side of my house is a Suluk guy (but not that kind warmonger Tausug from the Southern Philippines, he is a native to Sabah and he is good peace loving people just like the other races), while at the back of my house is a Bajau, both at the far right is Brunei and Bugis while in the front is Chinese and Kadazan-Dusun. Not forget to our place shopowners who is a Pakistani and Indian descent. For many years, we have lived peacefully without any conflict. When some robbery case happen to our place at night, we will usually work together to stay at the night just like the RELA guards. During this moment, we even managed to captured the perpetrator who is an illegal immigrant Filipino kid who been teach by his grandmother to steal and we handed him to the police along with his grandmother. While when we heard the news of the 2013 standoff, my Suluk neighbour condemned the intrusion and said like this "ai, ini lah Kiram ini, bagus² Sabah aman begini kau tiba² buat kacau sini, gara² kau lah orang Suluk yang asli pun dapat nama buruk". For many years until now we did not even have a fight and start to blame our Suluk neighbour. We just lived normal like usual. But "half" of my Peninsular friends had always "say bad things especially during the Tausug invasion, some of them even said "the word that shouldn't be said" which make your heart as a Sabahan scratch". I believe there is also a bad "Sabahan" just like what happen to your area and as you mentioning above "bad people is everywhere". During the wiki wars attack on Sabah articles, some Filipinos user here ever thought that I'm a type who "anti" to them, but actually I never hate Filipinos. I just hate "some of them who have any bad intention" to Sabah especially those who came here to cause a chaos and those who have the intention to destroy this state, destroying this place is mean to destroying our lives and that's why we will against them even if I need to die for this place. This is not about patriotism but we just want to live happily, without any fight and supposedly "they" (the Filipinos) who come here should not obeying the law just like they thought they are the "king" of this place. They should come through the proper channel and all our people including myself will have a respect to them. Hmm, btw, it is true indeed as most of my Peninsular friend also at the first doesn't know that I'm an East Malaysian, that's why "kadang² durang pun bule telepas cakap". ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 18:42, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re : Kesultanan Sarawak

Hehe, eya, itulah, banyak lagi artikel sejarah Malaysia belum lengkap. Tapi adakah ni urang taru link Kingdom of Sarawak, salah ba ini. Kalau tu, start suda pemerintahan urang puti. Aihh, tapi kan sekarang bz betul saya ohh ulang alik di KK, artikel Bandar Seri Begawan sama Johor Bahru pun belum siap lagi mau dikasi kembang. >< ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 08:52, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

hahaha, my err, aku nda check pun sampai list malay subgroups, aku check komenmu di "view history" Malay people punya artikel tu sak. hehe. itu laitu, perlu ada respected sources ba baru bole start Kesultanan Sarawak Darul Hana. =) --Egard89 (talk) 18:02, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's ok, tapi banyak betul lagi ni, artikel sultan² Kalimantan lagi banyak yang masi "stub". Macam Pontianak Sultanate, Bulungan Sultanate tuh. Haih, kalau harap kita² ja memang susa ini mau kasi siap semua. Macam artikel bandar² tu juga, sumber suda banyak saya jumpa tapi mau menyusun atau bikin ayat tu, bikin kusut kepala juga. Haha >< ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 13:03, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Macam cerita sultan Sulu sama Melaka tuh, banyak kunu mengaku, terlampau ramai. Kalau ada yang betul pun, tapi macam mana juga, contoh kalau durang yang memang ada darah sultan tapi kalau mengikut peraturan sultan ni, kalau suda tiada anak lelaki memang waris takhta tuh terputus kan, lebih² lagi kalau sultan tu tiada adik beradik lelaki atau suda kana "defunct" sama colonial powers. Hihi, btw, umur tuh rahsia lah tapi yang pasti memang kerja sekarang. Kira masi "student" juga ba sebab kalau ikut adat kehidupan ni tiap² hari belajar @ jumpa sesuatu yang baru kan. :) ~ Muffin Wizard ;) 09:18, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing information

Can you please stop removing information? Please read the sources because they never said anything about Cocos Islands. Most Christmas Islanders are Australians of Malaysian descent who have lived there for many generations. They form the majority on Christmas Island and hence why they are mentioned on the pages for Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indians, they can not be compared to Malaysian Indians or Chinese in the UK, Singapore or the US because in those countries they are a minority and are culturally distinct from Christmas Islander Malaysians. Please don't bring your racism here, it's hypocritical of you to target the Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indian pages when the exact same words, discussing Australian-Malaysian Malays on Christmas Island are published on the Malaysian Malay page but you didn't have the nerve to remove that. There may be government supported racism in Malaysia but Wikipedia is not a racist place so please don't bring it here. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 01:02, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]

Funny on how you politised this issue with your blatant accusation of racism. To be honest, the malays in the christmass island are also culturally distinct from the malaysian malays (having their origin from various indonesian arhipelago) compared to the malaysian malays. Even the language and culture are visibly different. So, why is the Malaysian Indians in Christmass Island is different from their cousins in the UK? US? and such why should they be stated on the headline. --Egard89 (talk) 02:37, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I almost laugh when you blatantly removed the singaporean population from the malaysian chinese page, changing it to the "christmass island" population instead, despite i already posted the link from the singaporean national statistic department. Oh wait, you read? no? haha. the irony.--Egard89 (talk) 02:47, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Christmas Island is not Cocos Islands. If you read the book it says the Malaysian Chinese, Indian and Malays came from Penang and the western coast Malaysia not from Indonesia. Cocos Malays are different from Christmas Islander Malays. The government of Singapore does not record the official number of "Others" in the country because they folllow the CMIO rule, I am not sure where you got that statistic because the government of Singapore does not record the number of "Others" in the country nor do they record the number of foreigners in the country. In fact it's a controversial issue in the country that people want the CMIO rule to change. On Christmas Island, Malaysian Australians form the majority hence why it is considered a significant region to be listed. In Singapore, Malaysians or Malaysian Chinese specifically do not make up the majority in Singapore. Apologies for pulling the "race card", I'm not sure why I did that but I can not ignore the fact that you left the Malaysian Malay page untouched and as of right now it still remains untouched. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:01, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Because I rarely checked the Malaysian Malay page in contrast to the Malay people group. But in contrast to the book, is there any other credible source that stated that there are malaysian in origin?
This source talks about the Australian Malaysian Chinese Christmas Islanders and the Malaysian Association of Christmas Island. [1] These two sources mention Malaysia along with Singapore but one must remember Singapore was a part of Malaysia up until 1965. [2] [3] (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:29, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Ok, following the other ethnic group article headline, why should a small (despite majority) population being stated on the ethnic page headline?
What page? They all in diaspora sections of each page. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:38, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Yea, this is in pursuant where you removed Singapore from the Malaysian Chinese page (despite the huge population and accessible credible information) online under the expense of the extremely small population in Christmass island. cc: English people, Irish people, Italian people.--Egard89 (talk) 03:41, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Do you not understand still? Malaysian Chinese form a majority on Christmas Island, that is not comparable to Singapore. Even if Singapore's Malaysian community is bigger than Christmas Island's one, the thing that separates them is that they form a majority on Christmas Island only. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:48, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Okay, how about we remove "Christmas Island" from the infobox because their population is smaller than the Malaysian Chinese, what do you think? (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:49, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
It is not about where they form majority or not, but where they form a large population.--Egard89 (talk) 03:53, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a Wikipedia guideline for this? (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:54, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Do you agree that Christmas Island should be removed from the Infobox on Malaysian Indians, because I'm alright with that. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:55, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
I'm sorry, but yes. --Egard89 (talk) 03:57, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I will remove that right now. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 03:58, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
After looking at other pages, how about we keep both Christmas Island and Singapore? (110.149.151.169 (talk) 04:02, 22 July 2016 (UTC)) [reply]
Also have you looked at Malaysians page? Do you understand what I was trying to tell you earlier, that it lists the majority populations first and the minority after? (110.149.151.169 (talk) 04:04, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
Ok, keep both areas then. --Egard89 (talk) 04:10, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK I'll do that. I was just wondering if you have a source after 2010 like 2015, because all the population sources for Chinese Singaporeans, Indian Singaporeans, Malay Singaporeans etc. are sources from 2015. (110.149.151.169 (talk) 04:22, 22 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]
