Help me

Hi, please help me. I want to learn wikipedia. E.g. How to write article, what is wikimarkup etc. Thanks, FxdhMxdh (talk) 14:11, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Getting started with Wikipedia is easy. A great place to get started is the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour through Wikipedia. If you prefer a more formal introduction, the Wikipedia Newcomer's training or the Tutorial provide similar information. Happy editing! --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 14:27, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Composite Number im going to try these things. Thank you, FxdhMxdh (talk) 14:31, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there FxdhMxdh, I saw that you had requested some help with editing wikipedia. I'd be happy to help out!
For writing new articles: do you have a specific topic in mind? The easiest way to start would be to write out a "rough draft" of your article in your "Sandbox" (located in the upper right hand corner of your browser, between "Talk" and "Preferences." Let me know what you are specifically looking to write about and I can give some more specific advice as to how you can go about creating new pages, and adding information to existing articles.
As far as "Wikimarkup" goes, that is simply the symbols used from your keyboard that will create different outputs when you type them into a wiki page. For example "[[ ]]" around a word or phrase like The United States of America will create what is called a "wiki link." Other important markups to know are "== ==" which will create a header similar to what "Help Me" looks like at the top of this post. There are several different wiki markups - if you are looking to accomplish any one in particular, let me know and I can help out! I got some help about wikimarkup from Wikipedia Newcomer's training, but it's somewhat difficult to type. Thank you, both. FxdhMxdh (talk) 14:37, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
