This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Twixx31 (talk | contribs) at 17:28, 11 August 2016 (New talk section: Twixx31). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

A tag has been placed on File:Pron.wav requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Per Holknekt

Please take a look at the article Per Holknekt that I have created. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.--BabbaQ (talk) 22:32, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please take a look at the external links for Linda Norgrove, Teresa Lewis and Catrine da Costa. All three will appear on DYK in the next coming months. Thanks.--BabbaQ (talk) 11:48, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:LCHS 30204 Front.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:LCHS 30204 Front.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, could anything be done with the four deadlinks at the Oba Chandler article detected today? :) If so any help is appreciated.--BabbaQ (talk) 23:36, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Minor edits

You seem to label all your edits as "Minor edits", but most of them don't come within the narrow range which is supposed to be called this - see Help:Minor edit. Please don't label anything as a minor edit unless it really is. As just the most recent example, adding a new ref is not minor. Thanks. PamD 13:17, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I don't know if you've seen that this unref article has been tagged for notability. It would help if it had refs and a link to the Russian article, which I couldn't find. At the moment, it risks deletion, but it looks like it might need work more than anything. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 15:32, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also please confirm which name should be used - article title and unsourced text don't match! PamD 16:48, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have an english reference with Georgy at "Explorers of Pechora Resources". Retrieved 27 February 2016. proven through the efforts of the famous geologist Georgy CHERNOV. and here "Vorkuta: Recovering from its past". Retrieved 27 February 2016. but these could be machine translations. Maybe some russian speaker could establish a correct name. Another editor changed Georgy to George. Cotton2 (talk) 16:59, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually a machine translation of the russian article here gives the article title of Georgy Chernov and actual name as George in english. Which is correct translation?Cotton2 (talk) 17:14, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Georgy Chernov, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page RU (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Gordon State College Seal (Georgia).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:12, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stoney (album)

@Jax 0677:

This cannot be notable, with 3rd party reliable sources, it doesn't exist. Same reason no redirect to Malone. It's advertising.

Okon Fuoko

Thanks, Cotton2, for taking a look at Okon Fuoko. I am still in the process of working on the article (as well as several others simultaneously for this composer); I'm not a beginner, so rest assured that these articles will be up to snuff shortly. I have multiple sources for each article and am in the process of getting them in order as we speak. I just don't prefer to work in my sandbox anymore and so I work step-by-step in the mainspace. Happy editing!  :) Sgvrfjs (talk) 20:05, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management

Your tagging of this article for deletion, and de-tagging (correct, A7 doesn't apply to schools), meant that the article was marked as patrolled without any further critique (which it badly needs). Please take care on WP:NPP. for (;;) (talk) 07:09, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stoney (album)

I believe Stoney (album) to be a valid redirect search term, for which {{PROD}} should not be applied twice. You may take the issue to WP:AFD if you so choose. --Jax 0677 (talk) 15:54, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Deletion and Articles for Deletion

Proposed deletion is for uncontroversial deletion. An editor may remove the PROD tag for any reason. Once it is removed, it should not be restored. You made a mistake in applying the tag twice. The deletion is no longer uncontroversial. You may nominate the article for Articles for Deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:57, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol

As reviewing administrator, I did not delete Amit Lal. Saying someone is a professor in a university is na indication ofplausible importance. Notability, of course, is a hgiher standard, and Lal meets it-- holding a namerd chair in a major university fulfill WP:PROF, even if nothing more is said.
I also did not delete Jitesh Pillai -- the editor of a notable magazine also is a clear indication of possible significance, and in this case is very likely notable.
I also did not delete Untitled Ram Potheneni movie -- I do not see any promotionalism--it a straightforward description. It probably is notable, but may end up being deleted because of WP:CRYSTAL
neither is Badiya particularly promotional--I think the problem is notability, but it may not fit any speedy category.
Ochsenwang. should have been marked for Speedy G7, not A3, because when the author blanks the page it indicates he wants it deleted; it is necessary to look atthe edit history as welll as the article.
Art in America (band) indicates possible importance because of recordings that charted--it maya be notable, if better sources can be found.
Eric Gauthier (dancer) was a soloist in major company, so certainly shows significance and probably notable
see my note on the talk p. of Giovanni Saziari--there is no contradiction.
Say So is not A7, not when it has a WDJS ref.

Remember: an indication of significance is just an indication that there's a good faith reason why someonem ight think a WP article possible--it is deliberately a much lower bar than actual notability. You need to review WP:Deletion policy, WP:CSD, and all the detailed parts of WP:N

You are also working much too rapidly. Nobody can properly review new articles at the rate of one a minute, or keep it up accurately for several hours. I've been doing this for 8 years now, almost every day. and I never try to do more than 10 or so at a time, because I know that if i do more, I become less accurate. It is extremely important not to incorrectly mark for deletion the articles of new editors, because if the article is even marked for deletion, they usually never come back to WP.

No matter how many articles are in the page list to be reviewed, it is not helpful to do an incorrect or inadequate review.

Please do not review further new pages until you have some more experience. The best way to learn the criteria is to participate in discussions at WP:AFD -- after you have read the pages I listed above, and the instructions for AfD. And when you are ready, start very slowly. DGG ( talk ) 18:31, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Simply a note also that Howard Schneider was reviewed despite it has a maintenance deletion template, and no contents, this is because a user removed it; I have fixed it now but this should've been restored again, not kept with its tagged state. SwisterTwister talk 18:53, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that after a file is moved to Commons, it enters the queue for F8 speedy deletion and there's no need to list it at FFD. All the best, Miniapolis 13:35, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. I don't write info in Wikipedia, I just translate them. That's how it was written in Arabic. If you think it is promotional, then I suggest you also delete the Arabic page. However, I don't really thing it is advertising the game. Well, you're the boss.

Edit: Also, I think this is all the info anyone can gather on the game. The game is still in development, and the company hasn't revealed any in-depth info about it, like the plot. So yeah, do what you see necessary.
