Flash Games

Should this list include online games? I feel as if it would expand the list quite a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.108.85.12 (talk) 08:58, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to cite at least one reference per table row. I also think it may be helpful to add a MetaScore (or similar popular averaged score) to each one. -Wikinium

I feel like flash games should be mentioned, but there are too many to list. Perhaps if you have the time, create a seperate 'flash game' section. -melon0111 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.137.200.69 (talk) 12:57, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Huge List

Work from here:

Time Exclusives

Don't you think that games like Far Cry, Papers Please, Roblo, Supreme Commander, Strike Suite Zero, and other games, that was already released on other platforms, should not be in this list? They could be moved to a seperate list or some sort of corresponding subcategory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.87.174.212 (talk) 19:23, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No. Adding annotations ("exclusive for X years") is enough. 666gonzo666 (talk) 13:02, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the original comment. If a game is out for anything that's not a PC, it is not a PC exclusive. Including games that came out for the NES in particular and so have been available on consoles for more than 20 years is ridiculous. Either this article has a purpose and it sticks to it, or this article has no purpose. --Tony Flow (talk) 09:44, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Sources Need Verification

Not all of these are accurate: 50 PC exclusive games in 2013 • comment added by alien_from_Europa

Some fuzzy math I came up with to figure out how many Steam games are exclusive. • comment added by alien_from_Europa

Are We Going To Include Game Mods?

'Poker Night 2' is not PC exclusive

It released also on consoles through digital distribution. TZHX (talk) 09:37, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, the editor must have confused it with Poker Night at the Inventory, which seems to be a PC exclusive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikinium (talkcontribs) 00:15, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Should Minecraft full edition be here?

Should Minecraft full edition be here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adam445 (talkcontribs) 12:56, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, Regardless if it is better or not, different editions of games do not count as separate titles. -melon0111 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.137.200.69 (talk) 13:19, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

PPC Mac games?

Should this list contain games that were also released for PowerPC Macs back in the day (e.g. EverQuest), seeing as they were technically not PCs? 66.55.134.198 (talk) 02:36, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

They are technically PCs. It's true that they are not IBM Compatible PC, but that doesn't their classification as Personal Computers. 95.88.83.172 (talk) 12:17, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Massive improvement proposal

It's clear that this list is becoming very large. I'm in favor of a split in the list. I don't know what would be best, alphabetized or separated by decades.

For example: "0-9, A, B, C, D..." OR "2010-present, 2000-2010, 1990-2000, 1980-1990".

I'm also curious as to why the MetaScore is unable to order properly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikinium (talkcontribs) 07:43, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Early access games

How are we dealing with early access games that have not been released "officially"? Can they be included? Another issue for example, is the case of DayZ (standalone): it has been announced for PS4, however, the game has been playable (albeit in an alpha state) since December 16, 2013. I doubt it will be released fully this year for either platform, putting it past the 1 year threshold. Can it be added to the list then? — InvisusMachina (talk) 05:18, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Team Fortress 2

I removed Team Fortress 2, as it was released on consoles almost immediately after its PC release. - MochaBean (talk) 00:29, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

PROPOSED MERGE WITH List of PC titles?

Instead, we could add an Exclusive header and have a Yes or No. Example:

Name Developer Exclusive
A Fairy Tale Reflexive Entertainment Yes

That's a cool idea, but when it says no, will it be in red? That will just look kinda in a bad way, especially when we add more games not exclusive to PC.--Patrykq (talk) 07:05, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, "No" could just be plain white. Same for Yes, even. This page is important on its own I suppose, but I do think it would be cool to add an "exclusive" identifier to the PC titles page.Wikinium (talk) 07:59, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If both yes and no is white, I don't think that it would be a bad idea to have identification that the game is an exclusive on PC games list, while still having the page dedicated to only exclusive PC games.--Patrykq (talk) 09:05, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, it doesn't need to merge. It just needs to have an 'exclusive' identifier on that page.Wikinium (talk) 17:37, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Time to split... but how do we do it? Wikipedia doesn't have any examples.

Any examples? Wikinium (talk) 19:00, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A more elegant alphabetical separation

What if instead of List of PC games/E or similar usages, we instead tried List of PC games (starting with E) or [[List of PC games starting with E)]? Wikinium (talk) 02:43, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think I prefer List of PC exclusive games starting with E. —PC-XT+ 09:19, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Browser Games

Earlier it was asked if flash games should be added to the list, and similarly I'm wondering if we should include browser games, as they are indeed PC exclusive, even if they can be considered an unpopular genre of video game. 73.0.219.90 (talk) 23:55, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

True, but there are so many browser-game titles available, that adding a list of them would be quite vast. For example, on Kongregate alone, there are nearly 100,000 browser-based games. However, they are PC-exclusive games, so if other people are in favor of this, I wouldn't mind them being added. I would definitely recommend a separate section / article for them, and perhaps a criteria for each game; e.g. popularity. G4m3rMatthew (talk) 12:56, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be a good idea to merge into List of PC games?

As both lists continue to grow, it makes more sense. List of PC games has an exclusive marker now. Wikinium (talk) 03:32, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the A to Z Segmentation

I want to know which games have been published exclusively in the last 2 to 3 years. That's easy with "Date Released" However, in the table each time for only a single letter A to Z. So I must click through the entire alphabet to find games that have appeared only this year. Also no one wants to read only the exclusive games, from this year, only with a number as a name!

Update: I've now created a complete list! --WeissEtwas (talk) 19:46, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Are you going to redirect List of PC exclusive games (B), plus all of the other pages, now that you have compiled a single list? — TPX 20:40, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm handling it. BearGlyph (talk) 13:01, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's handled. BearGlyph (talk) 13:19, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with List of PC games

The only essential piece of information here is whether or not it's exclusive. Why not merge this into List of PC games and include an "Exclusive until" table column that would hold the date the game lost its exclusivity, if ever?
