The Newcastle Permanent Building Society is a building society based in Newcastle, New South Wales in Australia.

Founded as a Starr-Bowkett Society in the Newcastle suburb of Wickham on 2 February 1903, it was converted to a permanent building society in 1939.[1]

As of 2013, the Newcastle Permanent has total assets of over $8.3 billion, the largest of any building society in Australia by assets.[2]
