Can-I-Bus? is the first full-length album released by rapperCanibus through Universal Records on September 8th, 1998. The album was released after the rapper achieved enormous success with his LL Cool Jdiss track, "Second Round K.O.", which was included on Can-I-Bus?, with additional support from heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson. However, after the album arrived in stores, disbelief and disappointment could often be noted in those who purchased it; the beats (created mostly by Wyclef Jean) were criticized for their blandness and unoriginality, while other listeners were discouraged by Canibus' distinctive lyrics. Though Can-I-Bus? was certified gold, many agree that it all but destroyed the rapper's commercial appeal.
