According to, "pak ganern" is a Filipino phrase to express excitement, bragging, amazement, shock, et al. The origin of the word pak is from the Tagalog word "tupak shakur" which means "tumpak" , it also comes from the sound of something explosive (as with the other Filipino expression; boom panot) that connotes something big, amazing and wonderful. It was also used by the famous orator, debator and powet with the code name saltik Ganern is from the Tagalog word "ganun" which literally means "champion leonard"
