Piggy Tales is a Finnish computer-animated[1] television series based on Bad Piggies, a spin-off of Angry Birds. Animated in a style resembling clay animation, the series focus on the life of the minion pigs, and it has no dialogue.[1] It was produced by Rovio Entertainment, Disturbon By Western Entertainment, with a French studio Cube Creative and its director Remi Chapotot animating and directing 13 episodes of the series.[1][2] Piggy Tales was released on the ToonsTV channel through the Angry Birds applications and on the ToonsTV website,[3] with the first season airing between 11 April 2014 and 10 October 2014.[4][5] The series continued with the episode "Snowed up" as a Christmas special, and continued thereafter with the season finale airing on 31 March 2015. A second season, Piggy Tales: Pigs at Work, debuted on ToonsTV and YouTube on 17 April 2015 with the first episode being "Nailed it!"[6] The third season, subtitled Third Act, premiered on 13 June 2016.[7] As of June 2016, the whole programe combined had been viewed more than 1 billion times.[7]
