Vikas Kapoor

Vikas Kapoor (November 17, 1961) is the CEO of meZocliq, an enterprise technology company providing a fully integrated end-to-end cloud-based application. Kapoor is a member of the board of directors of The Metropolitan Opera and Newport Jazz Festival.[1] [2] [3]

Early life and education

Kapoor was born in Ajmer, India on Novermber 17, 1961.[4] He grew in India, England and Australia. He is the son of Kusum and Major General S. B. L. Kapoor, VSM (Retd) of the Indian Army. At 16, Kapoor won a scholarship to study at Sevenoaks School in Kent, England, where he received his high school diploma. In 1984, he graduated magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Princeton University.[5]

Career

Kapoor’s first job following business school was as a business analyst in the financial services practice of McKinsey & Company. Thereafter, he was a Principal at the global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.[6] In 1994, Kapoor co-founded the global consulting company Mitchell Madison Group,. He also led Mitchell Madison Group’s buyout of the financial services practice of A.T. Kearney. In 1999, the firm was sold to USWeb/CKS for several hundred million dollars. In 2000, Kapoor was appointed President and CEO of Walker Digital, an incubator of several internet businesses including priceline.com. In 2002, Kapoor was appointed CEO of Toronto-based Delano Technology Company, a publicly held customer relationship management software company.[6]

In January 2004, Kapoor was appointed CEO and President of iQor[6] [7] a global technology-enabled business processing and services outsourcing company. In 2009, Kapoor was on the expert panel, ‘The Forecast for Emerging Markets’ at the Milken Institute’s Global Conference.[8] [9] [10] [11]

Kapoorc has been a speaker at the World Economic Forum’s 2nd Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, the Milken Institute’s Global Conference on the Rise of India, and was the moderator at Cooper Union for its new President’s Pre-Inaugural Colloquium, “Educating Students To Lead In A Global Context.”[12] [13]
