SEESHA is the acronym of Samiti for Education, Environment, Social Health and Action. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation started in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in the year 2003 as a small charitable trust under the leadership of Indian philanthropist Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, the organisation has now grown into a welfare and developmental NGO focusing on holistic community development. They work in some of the poorest communities in both urban and rural India, covering the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and the union territories of Delhi and Puducherry.
