XEW (Channel 2 analog and Channel 48 digital) is a television station in Mexico. As El Canal de las Estrellas (Spanish for "The channel of the stars"), it is one of the cornerstone stations of Televisa, with affiliate stations all over Mexico. It is also transmitted throughout Central and South America on satellite, as well as in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand; many of the programs of El Canal de las Estrellas are seen in the United States on Univision, Telefutura, and Galavisión. Among the programs featured on El Canal de las Estrellas are En Familia Con Chabelo ("In Family with Chabelo"), Hoy (Today), Alborada, Rebelde (Rebel), 100 Mexicanos Dijeron ("100 Mexicans Said"; the Mexican version of Family Feud), Vas o no Vas, the Mexican version of "Deal or no Deal" (which moved to Telemundo), and CV Directo (CV Direct). They also air the Mexican version of a cross between USA's People's Choice Awards and the Emmy Awards called "Premios TV y Novelas", sponsored by the Televisa-owned magazine of the same name.
XEW-TV is one of Televisa's older stations, having been founded in 1951 as part of Telesistema Mexicano.
