Thank You for removing the vandalism on my UserTalk page

Thank you for undoing the vandalism on my user talk page. My e-mail kept getting lit up by notifications of messages on my Wikipedia talk page. I'm at work on break and can't really go through them all right now, but what was going on? ChristopherH1995 (talk) 20:47, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Scarborough high school sock

Thanks for watching for this guy. He got a 3 month block this time so we'll have to watch for a new IP/account this time. I'll SPI him the next time I see him, or maybe even start one now just so we have one ready. I think what's gong on is that there are a couple of local schools up for review for possible closure, and West Hill is losing out. I'm keeping track of this at User:Meters/Scarborough school cluster since it's too messy to dump it all into an SPI. Feel free to add anything I missed. CC License Blue Jays photos on Flickr

[1] First off, apologies for the poor form on putting up a link. This is a link to my Flickr page that contains some of the photos I took at the Blue Jays vs. Mets spring training game I took 3/23/16. All of them have a Creative Commons license. Hi Terry, no worries on the link. I really appreciate your photos, and I would like to put some of them to use here, but unfortunately the Creative Commons licence you uploaded the photos with can't be used on Wikipedia (to my understanding). When uploading a Flickr photo through Wikimedia Commons, the only additional CC licences we can use are Attribution ShareAlike 2.0 and Attribution 2.0, on top of Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0/3.0/2.5, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0/3.0/2.5, and Creative Commons CC0 Waiver. The licence you selected, Attribution NonCommercial 2.0, can't be used (I think) because of its' non-commercial restriction. I personally don't think Wikipedia intends to profit off of your photos, but for whatever reason, we can't use them (I think). I say "I think" because I really don't know 100% that we can't use them. Uploading photos is still relatively new to me, I've only uploaded a handful of them since 2014. If there is a way to change the licence used, I'd be very happy to make use of them (especially at Michael Saunders, Chris Colabello, and elsewhere). Go Jays! I changed all the licenses to Attribution ShareAlike, so feel free to use whichever ones you like. I just may get around to uploading Saunders and Colabello sometime soon. I know WP already has a good image of Aaron Sanchez, but I got some good ones of him at the game. Speaking of him, he threw consistiently 97-98mph with perfect location - if he pitches this way consistently, the Jays should have a Cy Young potential pitcher in him. So it seems this here link from my original welcome message is STILL directing random people, ones that you reverted, to ME! Hahah! It's okay I find it quite humourous and entertaining often. This time, I just received an email from a yet another guy that you reverted a about a week ago ([3]). It's apparent that they're coming to your talk page, seeing your top 'welcome message' that I sent you originally back in March 2009, and without knowing any better, following the link "Please leave a message on my talk page", which undoubtedly misleads them to my talk page! It's kind of odd - I'd say 99% of the time new/anon editors can't be bothered to read anything, but once they get to my talk page they are all over that welcome message! Commas for managerial records.

I suggest that the templates that are used in managerial records should be fixed to include commas. If you take a look here, it currently doesn't show commas. Another point I want to make is that MOS:DIGITS states that it can only be used when it is consistently applied in each article. Since the template doesn't currently allow for a consistent use of commas, the comma can't be applied right now. However, if you feel that it should be used, maybe the starting point here is to get the template to use commas so it can be consistently applied. 70.26.86.97 (talk) 20:58, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The most important part of MOS:DIGITS as it relates to commas used for four digit numbers is "provided that this (the use of commas) is consistent within each article". Gibbons' article only has one other four digit number (that isn't a year) and it uses a comma (as 99% of MLB infobox statistics do). The template you refer to isn't a template, its a wikitable, and wikitables are not exclusively for use as an MLB managerial record table, so no such fix or "forced comma" can be implemented. Whether or not a comma is used in Bobby Cox's table is irrelevant to the Gibbons article. Please stop removing the comma. Trut-h-urts man (T • C) 21:15, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
