The genus of bull rays (Pteromylaeus) belong to the family of eagle rays Myliobatidae. Currently, four species are recognized:
- P. episcopus (Valenciennes, 1844)
- P. asperrimus (Gilbert, 1898), Rough eagle ray
- P. bonaparti (Duméril, 1865)
- P. bovinus (Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1817), Bull ray
