The term Eicosanoic has a use in Biology (biological chemistry) as well as in physical chemistry; It is involved in the description of montelukast (Singulair).

¶ Preferentially, it should be reffered to by 'type', namely, Eicosic Acid, or (i.e.) "Icosic" lipid
