Format of contestants in the running

With all due respect, I don't like the plain list. I preferred the table because it was more convenient because it showed who won what challenges, who was the highest, who was the lowest, and so on. Please put it back.

Oh I'm really idiotic. My browser flubbed up and I thought I was on the Season 3 page. I'm sorry.

However, I think you make a good point. Do we need this much detail on the main Project Runway article? Shouldn't this article present an overview and the Season 3 article give the type of detail like the names of contestants and who's currently in the running and who's been eliminated? I think so. Trivia and Records?

I appreciate the effort put into creating the Trivia and Records sections, but I'm wondering if this is all really necessary or useful. For one thing, a lot of seems a bit ridiculous, for lack, of a better word. For example -- oldest and youngest winner? There have only been two winners! One will be the oldest and the other the youngest. There just are not enough data to make a lot of this information useful. Secondly, it is part of Wikipedia Style to avoid such Trivia sections and integrate the information into the article whenever possible, move it into a separate article or discard it if it's not encylopedic or can't be verified. Crunch 02:48, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone else removed the record section earlier this week, without discussing it here. Since there has been no talk about removing the Trvia section, I am removing it. It seems pointless, again, for the reasons discussed above. Crunch 10:54, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What is the timeframe?

There is much argument among my coworkers as to the timeframe of the show. Some think it is filmed in a few weeks with the challenges running back to back, while others think the challenges are filmed over several months (as evidenced by Laura's growing belly in Season 3). Does anyone know?

I believe that each season is filmed over a period of about a month. Season 3 was filmed from more or less May 20 through June 20, 2006. Then the four finalists came back for Olympus Fashion Week from September 8-15, 2006. I'm only guessing on Laura's pregnancy -- maybe she decided to show if off more after a certain point by, for example, wearing shirts tucked up over her belly that pretty much say, "Hey, look I'm pregnant!" Nothing wrong with that, but in other clothing she does not look as pregnant. Crunch 02:44, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Music

Hey. I added the music section and link. I'm new to this, so I hope it's to everyone's liking.

one missing infomation on the chat of season 1 challenges

Did anyone notice that there's a one week missing in Vanessa's part of the chart of season 1 challenges? Because of that, her part on the chat seems wrong. Does anybody have the information about the missing-week of her challenge?

I moved the link to the TRESemme.com home page from here to the Season 3 Project Runway article page and changed it specifically to Scenes from the Project Runway Season 3 Finale rather than the TRESemme home page. Crunch 11:29, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Gunn and season four

Can anyone include a link to the People article stating that Tim might not return to the show for the next season? I can't imagine that they would ever do the show without Tim; not just is he easily the most popular person on the program, but I can't imagine that his role would take away that much time from his work at Parsons (hell, it's even filmed at the school). So long as they don't do another trip (e.g. Paris during season three), I don't know why he wouldn't be on the show. The People factoid should be cited in the article (in fact, the article as a whole needs citations), and I would personally like to see it. -- Kicking222 23:10, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I found it myself, and I'll add it to the article. -- Kicking222 23:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

to me it seems that this article mentions Elle and Saturn and Tresemme too often. Surely, that's a good representation of the show ;-). But I'd like it more if there were a "sponsors"-section listing Elle and Saturn, so the introduction could tone down the advertisement as far as possible. -- JanCK (talk) 12:57, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NHL April Fools Day Joke

I'm a little surprised that there's nothing about *this blog post, which sparked a lot of talk around the hockey world. Basically, it's an NHL/PR AFJ. 24.87.56.142 (talk) 21:05, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All-Star Season

This was actually a hoax. I first saw it on Blogging Project Runway and emailed them about it. Nick Verreos and Tim Gunn said they had no idea about the supposed All-Star Season. Here is an article where Tim Gunn explains it. [1]<3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 05:48, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Error in article - Sebelia's leather shorts were excluded from Olympus Fashion Week show

The article says "Jeffrey Sebelia was accused of having outside help to finish his garments by fellow competitor Laura Bennett. The issue was investigated, and it was declared that he had followed the guidelines and did not violate any rules that would prevent him from continuing in the competition at Fashion Week. He did, however, go over budget by $227.95, and had to remove things from his collection to bring it back under the budget limit. However, he did not have to remove articles of clothing he had designed; the only items taken out were blonde wigs."

This is incorrect. I just saw the episode in reruns yesterday. He removed the leather pleated shorts from the final runway show because he could not produce a receipt for the pleating performed by the outside vendor. This is correctly reported in the article on Jeffrey Sebelia.

NBC v. Weinstein Article?

Do you think that the lawsuit over this show is notable enough to have it's own article? It could get pretty lengthy to include on the main page. <3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 04:28, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, right now it's only mentioned in 5 sentences in the article, which does not merit a spin-off. If you want to add to the article and expand the information with reliable sources as citations, feel free to. If it becomes long enough for its own subheading, fine. But it's nowhere near spin-off length. Softlavender (talk) 09:59, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"International versions" languages?

Could someone list the normal languages used in each International version?
English - Project Runway, Project Runway Canada, Project Runway Australia, Project Catwalk, etc.
Portuguese - Projecto Moda, Projeto Runway (Brazil)
etc. maybe put it in the "International versions" chart? --74.179.112.79 (talk) 14:40, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was just thinking this same thing when I was looking through the "Project Runway around the world" section... What languages are these shows in? I started watching Project Runway Malaysia (or Philippines, I can't remember which one), only to find that it was part English and part some other language...It made the show very unwatchable to me. If someone knows which languages are used in each show, could they be added to the chart? --98.70.56.246 (talk) 17:37, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. I'm awful at HTML or I would put it in the chart myself. PR Philippines is primarily in English, although contestants occasionally speak in Tagalog. If you're an English speaker that's watched all of PR, All Stars, PR Canada, PR Australia, and Project Catwalk, it's a good next step. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zardeenah (talkcontribs) 03:45, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.131.165.52 (talk) 15:48, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Shouldn't there be a section on awards and nominations? On the wikipedia page on Heidi Klum it is noted that the show was awarded the Peabody. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.96.32.4 (talk) 03:32, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season 9 please.

Can someone please create Season 9 please. I think we should go off of the last version of the Season 8 article before the show aired, which is http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Project_Runway_(season_8)&oldid=375741251 Naraht (talk) 14:30, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article is incorrect. Mondo Guerra was the winner of Project Runway All Stars. It's currently listed as Austin Scarlett. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.39.169 (talk) 01:34, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New table

Hello. I've added an improved version of the table. It's chic. Something suited for Project Runway 'high' standards, as Heidi would say. :p --Imtitanium (talk) 18:50, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Season 11 first air date incorrect

I'm a new user so cannot just edit the page, but at this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_runway#Season_11 the original air date should be "Jan 24, 2013", not the 25th. Can someone please edit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dananairn (talkcontribs) 03:00, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 30 January 2013

The name Rachael Weingart needs to be removed from the first sentence of the entry, because she has never hosted the Project Runway show. Her inclusion is some kind of vandalism or joke. It should be changed to "is hosted by model Heidi Klum." 184.75.1.162 (talk) 15:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding images/photos of outifts to the Season articles?

I see that the article for Season 3 has a few images of the winning designs and a model. Would it be possible to have (more) images of the designers, their designs, or models in this article and in the articles for each season? Winged Watermelon (don't text and fly) 03:31, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A cast photo in the infobox (which most likely would always be non-free) is fine, but when it comes to any individual outfit, it would have to be a photo that is free content (From commons). --MASEM (t) 03:46, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-Protection for PR (All-Stars) pages!

I have noticed that PR pages have a high risk of vadalism especially the designers progress grids. I recommend to put a semi-protection for pretty much every PR page.

Article WP:OR

I have tagged each of the articles contestant progress chart with "{{Original research|table}}" for the following reasons:

  1. Stating a contestant did HIGH or LOW in almost all of the cases is WP:Original Research. In the show, aside from some cases where the host makes it clear who made it to the top, the presenter does not explicitly say who did bad and who did good.
  2. A reliable source, including the source material, can not be provided where it states which contestants placement was; Top or Bottom.
  3. To infer that most of these contestants are the Top/Bottom, one must interpret from the source material's comments about their performance, about how they did and decide if they did good or bad. Since not everyone's perspectives are the same, there is not a 100% way to WP:Verify this information.

Proposal

  • Remove all of the unsourced HIGHs and LOWs that have to be interpreted from the source material and leave the ones that the presenter clearly states are in the Top/Bottom, which would not leave many in each respective seasons.

Presented by Chase (talk) 14:14, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In the show, after the judges interview the 6 designers they brought back, they have their little "private" discussion, and here it is clear who placed where, as Heidi uses langage like "Let's talk about the designers we liked", or "let's talk about the designers at the bottom". I don't think it's OR most of the time. --MASEM (t) 14:42, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
