Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Halbard specs.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Halbard specs.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:07, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Doom
Just wanted to thank you for editing in the reference to the SNES port for the Doom 64 section. In retrospect I probably should have guessed that was what the original editor was talking about, but when making that edit I was totally at a loss.--Martin IIIa (talk) 17:12, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Wrong use of WP:Logical quotation
Hello, Holothurion. I am not sure why you made this edit to the Megan Fox article, when "logical quotation" regarding punctuation outside of quotation marks on Wikipedia only applies to sentence fragments. This is why I reverted you on this matter. Flyer22 (talk) 21:44, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
IP block exempt
I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.
Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.
Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).
I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Elockid (Talk) 16:54, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Andy Dingley (talk) 12:23, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
ANEW
I have reviewed the report filed against you at WP:ANEW. Putting aside the silliness of the dispute, you are wrong that you have not violated WP:3RR. If you wish to avoid a block, you must self-revert your latest edit, acknowledge that you understand the breach of 3RR, and promise to leave the article alone for 7 days.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:09, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. National varieties of English
In a recent edit to the page The Magician's Nephew, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 02:53, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

About "the Beatles"
Hi. Regarding your edit to the Vince Guaraldi article, "The Beatles" with a capital T is not used in Wikipedia articles in mid-sentence, per this RfC which was the subject of protracted debate. The close is the short version. Many Beatles articles have a template on their Talk pages regarding this. Please read, so you understand that reverting you isn't personal or arbitrary, it is policy that was arrived at after much debate. Thanks! Jusdafax 21:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:04, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge
You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here! |
