Ione Skye
Is Ben Lee really dating Ione Skye? I haven't read about or heard this anywhere.
Paris Hilton
Is Ben Lee really dating Paris Hilton? Is there a verified source for this?
Todd McKinnon
Is this Todd McKinnon person real? It sounds like a clever act of vandalism as a Google search yields nothing about him. --Galaga88 12:40, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- I agree, I'll post something on User:N turner's talk page, and unless they give some sources proving Todd McKinnon actually exists, I'll remove all the references, on Todd McKinnon, WaveAid, Modular Recordings, Ben Lee, Music of Australia and Melbourne. They claim Todd was in WaveAid, but theres no reference on the WaveAid site, and as you said, nothing on Google. Weird. - Thejesterx 15:05, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
- I've removed all of N turner's edits which link to Todd McKinnon, and nominated the article for deletion - you may wish to vote there! -- Chuq 00:28, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
What genre should Ben Lee be placed in, indie pop?
i agree, Ben Lee should be placed in indie pop, he's not exactly mainstream enough to call him just straight pop yes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.158.19.254 (talk) 06:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Who's that girl?
Who is the female backup musician in his current line up? She's seen playing a toy piano and a 303 in his latest clips. Jachin 03:44, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- She is Lara Meyerratken who goes by the name El May or Lara, she left the Ben Lee line-up in June 2006 after 8 years with him to pursue her own musical interests - El Mayon Myspace. The new keyboard player is Wes Regan. --HelenThura 01:56, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
At on epoint you say his career started at age 14, and then you say it started at age 18
New photo please?
Hey, I don't believe the photo of Ben does his justice.
Sexual Orientation?
I heard Ben Lee is actually gay. Is there a source for this? Or was my mate just bashing him? Lol. lol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.183.175.66 (talk) 04:13, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
His religion is irrelevant
Is the fact that he's Jewish really worth mentioning in the first sentence of the article? Have you seen other articles for different artists that state they're Catholic or Protestant, for instance? Davez621 12:07, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes it is be but it would be nice for the writer of this article to state explicitly that he is jewish e.g write that he was born to Jewish parents. Also being jewish is not necessarily a religion it is an ethnicity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Searching for truth (talk • contribs) 12:51, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Lee is very open about being Jewish. There is a link at the bottom of the page identifying him as a "Jewish Musician." I'd argue that his being Jewish warrants mention in the first sentence of the piece just as much as his being Australian warrants mention there. 158.83.210.198 (talk) 18:52, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
In popular culture
Can someone please add something about the fact that there are several songs called "Ben Lee" by other bands?
One is by The Ataris, and the other by an Australian indie band called Klinger.
Here are the lyrics to the Ataris song: http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/37512/
And Klinger: http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/3530822107858522671/
I feel like there are a few more, but I could be wrong. I think that the fact that other musicians have reacted so strongly to him is really notable.
This article could be more detailed
Ben Lee has been involved with so many side projects over the years, it almost saddens me that this article isn't as detailed as it could be. If I had the time and skills, I'd add much more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cimplex (talk • contribs) 15:26, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
