Hi Lisa, would appreciate some help deleting this file: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg. I replaced it with this one on the commons and they are conflicting: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg.

Thanks!

Hi. I see the image is properly tagged. So, don't worry. It will get deleted. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 07:05, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again! I added both tags, but are both necessary or is just one needed? Also, will the article reference automatically reference the new file since it is under the same name? Just on the commons instead? Thanks! Still learning.JC713 (talk) 17:10, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No. Both were not necessary. Oh, and by the way, you might be interested to know this:
[[:File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg]] produces File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg
[[:commons:File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg]] produces commons:File:JetBrains_Logo_2016.svg
If you forget the ":", Wikipedia will render the image itself.
Best regards,

Adobe Premiere Pro

Dear Lisa I noticed you removed the feature history of Premiere Pro. You sighted a copy write violation. I am the author of that article and am curious what your concern was?

Thanks Dave Dmcgavra (talk) 19:54, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dmcgavra
In almost all cases, you may not copy text from other sources into Wikipedia. Doing so is a copyright violation and may constitute plagiarism. The Adobe Premiere Pro article was full of contents copied and pasted from Adobe blogs.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 06:42, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but I helped write the blogs from Adobe :) I am the Director of Engineering for the Professional Video apps at Adobe and we use this to track the history of our product. How do I get this back?
Thanks
Dave
Dmcgavra (talk) 06:43, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmcgavra: You question is already answered in the same article to which I linked: "If I own the source, or work for the owner of the source, can I copy it to Wikipedia?" Remember, Wikipedia takes copyright laws very seriously.
In addition, Wikipedia is not a changelog.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 06:52, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lisa,
The article is about the Product Premiere Pro. The history of that product is very interesting to people who come to this page. I am confused. I authored the page here and added additional information for the public domain including dates, citations and codenames. This seems very useful to Wikipedia. Can I at least access the history to post this to a more forgiving site?
Dmcgavra (talk) 07:01, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, indeed those were very useful. I wish the copyright-violating changelog wasn't added to the mix. Currently, the history is not accessible to ordinary people in order to comply with copyright laws. But you can try contacting an administrator. If you demonstrate that you understand the problem and do not wish to repeat what has happened in the past, you might get a copy.
Best regards,

How does one best contact an administrator? Thanks Dmcgavra (talk) 07:25, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Try contacting Diannaa (talk · contribs) or Dennis Brown (talk · contribs), on one of the active administrators.
