Elena and the Secret of Avalor is a crossover television movie between two Disney television series, Disney Junior's Sofia the First and Disney Channel's Elena of Avalor, also a prequel to the latter series. It premiered on November 20, 2016, on both Disney Channel and Disney Junior.[1][2]

Synopsis

Elena tells Niomi the story of how she was saved from Shuriki by the magical amulet (Sofia's) and trapped in it for 41 years, waiting for another Princess to set her free; Sofia learns the mystery behind her amulet, discovering Elena within it, and is up to the task in releasing her.

  • The amulet of Avalor is changed from dark purple to ruby pink after Sofia releases Elena from it.
  • Sofia's family learns the truth about the magic of Sofia's amulet; although Amber had first known about its magical properties in The Curse of Princess Ivy, but her memory was erased afterwards.
