- Hi Mahesh, an article was created about him already, and it was deleted on the grounds that he's not yet notable enough for an encyclopedia article. You can find out more about the guidelines for articles on academics at WP:Academic. Wikishovel (talk) 18:24, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

- Hi. Lately I just use manual reverts by squinting at the recent changes feed. Have you tried WP:STiki? Wikishovel (talk) 10:44, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
- I need rollback for that. I applied for it, but since I recently had a request denied for me in the past 90 days no administrator wants to give me the permission but they know I need it. Can you help? Adotchar| reply here 10:50, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
- What reason did the admins give for not granting rollback? Maybe do some more good anti-vandal work, and re-apply. Shout out if you want any help with that. But though rollback is handy for anti-vandal, it's not essential, and I haven't asked for it yet. Wikishovel (talk) 11:10, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

- Got any references for those additions? Wikishovel (talk) 14:22, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello there, from Portugal,
i understand your concern because my actions could be related with vandalism. However, this user i reverted engages in abusive WP:OVERDETAIL and his English is also a bit subpar. I am a veteran of ten years so you can trust me on this one. I will cleanup the article still today, pinky swear :)
Attentively, sorry for any inconvenience --85.242.133.151 (talk) 16:13, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- OK, your edit summaries were very brief, so you might like to be a bit more specific with the summaries when you fix, to avoid this misunderstanding with other editors. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 16:16, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
Mr. Vilà duly cleaned up. Many many references were salvaged, but the "English" was just too much (example "putting out him on a sidelined", "following Soiledis' absent"), not to mention the already mentioned overdetail. Still tonight, i'll work on Mr. Baldé's piece. --85.242.133.151 (talk) 18:16, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. You can also tag the article with a {{copyedit}} tag, when the main problem is poor English. Wikishovel (talk) 18:20, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
Started with Mr. Baldé's cleanup, only thing missing now is the FC Kuban Krasnodar section, i'll get to it after dinner. Just to give you an idea of how much User:Timmy96 engages in overdetail, this footballer scored seven goals for the CA Osasuna football club, the user listed them ALL in the storyline, completely forbidden edit-wise. The "English"? Still very poor; he also writes endlessly about the injuries suffered by the athletes, no matter how minor they are.
Attentively --85.242.133.151 (talk) 19:58, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Done! I stand corrected, he overdetailed until the cows came home, writing ALL the goals for ALL the clubs! --85.242.133.151 (talk) 21:46, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Tennis statistics updates
After already having reverted the correct update of a fellow user at Jesika Malečková and I, the main updater of statistics of selected players on the ITF Women's Circuit, making the same update to the page (albeit with correct project formatting), I think you should have consulted either 2016 ITF Women's Circuit (October–December) (the results page, from which the article in question is linked) or either one of the two external links given at the bottom of the page (which would have supplied you this information). As you should have seen, both of us edit heavily in tennis-related articles, including this one. If you're not sure how tennis biographies or tournaments are updated, then I suggest you don't edit them, or take extra care when reverting additions of tournament results each week. The reason why I'm dropping you a courtesy, personal note is because I have undone your deletion of the results update, i.e. you were wrong, and I wanted to point this out to you rather than a yoyo of undo-clicking. If I can provide any further help, then please, by all means, let me know. Jared Preston (talk) 20:55, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Jared Preston: the article is a WP:BLP with many unreferenced claims, and no footnotes. Where in the references you mention above is the record for her 2014 matches at Horb and Prague, Hluboká nad Vltavou, Antalya, her 2015 matches at Szczawno-Zdrój and Breda, etc? Wikishovel (talk) 00:12, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
- If you take, for example, her ITF profile, click on the tab "activity", scroll down to "view all" and then you'll have to search. The URLs don't change for each tab, they never have done, there's nothing I can do about that. Similar to the ITF profiles are those at the WTA, here Malečková's – click on the tab "results", pick the year 2014, all tournaments, singles, click "find", and you will find the results there too. Or you go to the Wikipedia quarter-year results pages, where there are links either to the ITF's tournament draws and/or pages. The people who update results on tennis biographies are usually authentic, I've never had any issues aside from Wikipedia-style formatting (like dates, dashes etc.) Jared Preston (talk) 09:31, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
- Leaving that lengthy exercise to the reader, when you could footnote at least the 2014 Horb tournament, etc., is simply not good enough for a WP:BLP. Please don't remove the nofootnotes template from the article again: there's a large batch of tennis BLPs like it that need proper footnoting. Wikishovel (talk) 09:42, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Hindu Persian Numerical system
Hello,
I would like to bring your attention to the corrections I made on Numerical system page. I understand this is wikipedia , and unfortunately offering wrong information especially regarding history of matters commonly happen.
But as you can read in the first paragraph of the description : "It was invented between the 1st and 4th centuries by Indian mathematicians. The system was adopted by Persian mathematicians (Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī's c. 825 book On the Calculation with Hindu Numerals) and Arab mathematicians (Al-Kindi's c. 830 volumes On the Use of the Hindu Numerals) by the 9th century. It later spread to medieval Europe by the High Middle Ages."
although the date of adaptation by Kindi is even much later than 830, it mentions that this system was used initially by Indo-Aryan (Persians) as part of the Empire itself. So respectfully I would like to ask you , to rename the page to Indo-Aryan or Indo-Persian numerical system. and correct all name representation of this system to what exactly is. Not based on political agendas. the same correction should be on the scripture. It is Persian script not arabic, which is Sanskrit with documentation in ancient libraries, which at that time the arab world had No books. and the only literate of those regions were Hebrew speaker, writers and scientists, who would exchange knowledge with their qualified neighbors/ families in Persia and Greece.
It is outmost important to save history and present readers across the world and through generation with Correct information, not made up, manipulated , distorted writings.
174.114.190.120 (talk) 05:35, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
- Replacing all instances of the words "Hindu" and "Arabic" with "Persian", including blatant changes of book titles, as you did at Hindu–Arabic numeral system isn't "correction", it's vandalism. Wikishovel (talk) 05:46, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
Recent National Fossil Day Edits
Hi Wikishovel. I wanted to express that the information pulled from the recent National Fossil Day edits was in error. The previous information I added are from facts provided to me from the United States National Park Service to help engage the general global public. Particular emphasis was to present, list, and inform on the National Fossil Day logos since 2010.
It was also requested that images provided to me by the National Park Service for each NFD logo be posted along with the information and dates. I've been repeatedly denied the ability to post these public access images under copyright concerns by wikipedia.
Is there a way you can help me set this up? I would greatly appreciate the return of the previous information if possible.
Thank You for your time and consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

- Hi Desertsabertooth. I can see on your Wikimedia Commons talk page that the images you uploaded were deleted because they were copyrighted, but when you uploaded them you described them as being your own work. We have to obey copyright law, no exceptions, or Wikipedia is legally liable for the breach.
- It's also important to write Wikipedia articles from a WP:Neutral point of view, and avoid straying into marketing, even for non-profit events like Fossil Day. What we write also has to be referenced by WP:Reliable sources, to WP:Verify what's written. If you have a WP:Conflict of interest, such as being employed by an organization involved, then it might be better for you not to write about the subject. If it's notable, then someone not connected with it will write about it eventually. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 06:13, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
Sometimes it gets particularly deep
I know nothing about STiki or its capabilities, but I go rather slowly and manually. Note how deep the, um, poo gets. Anyway, whenever it looks like imagination was involved I look to see _how_ imaginative. :) Shenme (talk) 07:22, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- Fairly imaginative. :) Wikishovel (talk) 07:24, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
Recent revert
You recently reverted an update I made to the Buell page. Over the years of checking this page, I have been dsiappointed to see much Buell official publicity regarding technology presented as fact when much of it is in reality "spin". Harley Davidson and in turn Buell have a long history of failing to reveal the horsepower put out by their engines in a clear and up-front manner. Buell was forced to use modified Sportster engines by it's inital parent (HD) and it continued to do so long after they had ceased to be technically competitive in the sports motorcycle industry. I think we do Wikipedia readers a disservice by perpetuating this corporate lie. BTW There's another deliberate lie in the article concerning the design of the V-Rod engine. This was never designed by HD and then forwarded to Porshe to gain EPA clearance. The design was done by a third party company, HD was incapable of designing such an advanced engine in-house at the time, in spite of the large size of their corporate coffers. Finally, if your username refers to your ownership of a HD Shovelhead, then you'll have to forgive me for categorizing you as just another HD/Buell apologist. If it refers to something else, then I retract that comment. Gerry from MN (talk) 20:09, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Gerry. I have no opinion on motorcycle engines of any type. I simply reverted your good faith edit because it was a statement of opinion, with no references. Please note that we all need to write from a WP: Neutral point of view, and use WP:Reliable sources to WP: Verify what we write. The name "Wikishovel" is about what I do here: shovel out pieces of gold from a mighty mountain of muck. All the best, Wikishovel (talk) 23:50, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

No disturbance
There is no distributive editing, you are injecting Wrong information regarding numerical system into world of information. The Hinu- Persian numerical system has been invented in the East Asia which in that time was part of Persian Empire, then as mentioned correctly in the page it has been developed and asserted by the Persian Mathematician Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī's c. 825 book and then traveled to the Arab world.
You Are doing Vandalism into Persian- Iranian History and the collection of their science contribution to the world. If you can't make all that correction, then Somebody else should be doing it for you. Only because you have been making edits on wikipedia does not make a criminal for the Theft of Knowledge.
How did a numerical system skipped a whole country from East to west , when it clearly states that it has been developed and used in the book of Calculation by Khwarazmi , which is still used today .
This page needs serious correction as it has been ignoring historical facts and the work of initial scientists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.114.190.120 (talk) 21:09, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- If it needs correction, then you need to correct it with references to WP:Verify your claim. Changing book titles in existing references, changing the text of referenced quotes, and deleting referenced information that doesn't suit your point of view, that is regarded as vandalism on Wikipedia. If you don't stop it, you're going to get blocked from editing by an administrator. Wikishovel (talk) 05:04, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

- That's fine, but we need to supply references to WP:Verify what we write. Personal experience of an editor isn't considered a WP:Reliable source; rather, that counts as WP:Original research. A Love to Last
Hi, WikiShovel! I just want to inform you about your concern on the A Love to Last and A Love To Last (TV series) Is only a misunderstanding. A Love to Last and A Love to Last (TV series) are both the same articles. Someone just had made a another page because he/she don't know that there is already one. I assure you that no copying of content is done because those two pages are the same. Thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by KyleC24 (talk • contribs)
- Hi KyleC24. I don't mean it was illegally copied, I mean you copy and pasted an old article to a new article with a different name, then redirected the old to the new. I've explained this at your talk page, along with instructions on the right way to rename an article. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 14:01, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
A Love to Last was renamed from "The Second Wife" so I copy and pasted all of the content to the new name of the show. Then, i redirected TSW's page to ALTL— Preceding unsigned comment added by KyleC24 (talk • contribs)
- Yes, I understand, and I'm asking you not to do that, because we lose the page history when an editor does that. Instead, you need to move the page: instructions are at WP:Moving a page. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 14:35, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
