President or Acting President

Is Mahama President of Ghana? or is he still Vice President merely peforming presidential powers & duties as Acting President? GoodDay (talk) 22:18, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In 'sub-section 59-6' under the section 'Executive', of the Ghana Constitution. It says the Vice President becomes President, whenever his/her predecessor dies, resignes, is removed from office. The new President serves the rest of his/her predecessor's term. GoodDay (talk) 22:24, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some of this section is copied verbatim from the sources cited, eg the sentence about Cuba from here: http://iamaghanaian.com/index.php?do=/news/vice-president-john-mahama-honoured/ 88.167.22.75 (talk) 19:31, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 10 December 2016

Please edit "John Dramani Mahama is the outgoing president ..." to "John Dramani Mahama is the current president ... "

It is not clear what "outgoing" means and the fact remains that he will remain president till noon on January 7th 2016. But till then he is president and there is only one kind of president that he can be. Adams.k (talk) 03:09, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
