"Girlfriend" is a song recorded by South Korean group Big Bang.

Background

On December 8, the name of the song was revealed as the last part of Made album with writers and producers names.[1] It's one of the first songs that made to Made album and was suppose to be a part of the singles in 2015, but instad it was released as a part of the full album. The song was released with the album on December 13 at midnight KST worldwide on iTunes.[2][3]

Composition and lyrics

"Girlfriend" was written by YG producer Teddy with Big Bang members G-Dragon & T.O.P, the production was made by Teddy, G-Dragon and Choice37, and arrangement was made by Teddy and Choice37. The song is a Pop rock & mellow hip-hop song.[4]

Commercial performance

Upon it's release, the song charted third four charts in China QQ Music including the daily, popularity index, music video, and K-pop music video charts, only behind the bands songs "Fxxk It" and "Last Dance".[5]
