Charter Oak is an unincorporated community in Stoddard County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] A variant spelling was "Charteroak".[1]

History

Charter Oak had its start ca. 1900 when the railroad was extended to that point.[2] The community took its name from the Charteroak Land and Lumber Company.[2] A post office called Charteroak was established in 1902, and remained in operation until 1957.[3]
