Rabbiting is the sport of hunting rabbits.

An old rabbit trap

Rabbit hunters frequently use ferrets and dogs to track their quarry.

Nets are often put around burrow exits, while the ferret is sent down to flush out the rabbits. The rabbits are often killed by a Priest. A jill is often a better rabbiter than a hob, as hobs are more likly to fall asleep in the burrow.

In medieval times a hawk or falcon would have been used to catch the rabbit as it exits the burrow. (often an albino ferret would have been used, allowing the hawk would recognise it)
