Derrick O'Keefe is a Canadian Vancouver-based writer, editor and social justice activist. He was the editor of rabble.ca until he was fired in 2013.[1] His writings on foreign policy, Canadian politics, ecology and other topics have been published in a number of both alternative and mainstream publications.

He is the author of the book Michael Ignatieff: The Lesser Evil?[2] [3][4] and the co-writer of Afghan MP Malalai Joya’s memoir A Woman Among Warlords: The Extraordinary Story of an Afghan Who Dared to Raise Her Voice.[5]

O'Keefe is a former co-chair of Stopwar.ca in Vancouver, and of the Canadian Peace Alliance, the largest network of anti-war groups in Canada. He was a founding editor and publisher of the on-line zine Seven Oaks, 2004-2008, a now discontinued "journal of "politics, culture and resistance" that featured the writing of a group of young, progressive journalists and activists.

He is one of the producers of Democracy North.[6]
