Jeremy Ashkenas is a computer programmer known for the creation and co-creation of the CoffeeScript and LiveScript programming languages respectively, the Backbone.js JavaScript framework and the Underscore.js JavaScript library.[1][2][3] Ashkenas has been a speaker at numerous conferences and events. He worked in the graphics department at The New York Times until September 2015 and returned there in September 2016.
