"Boombastic" is a song released by Jamaican-American musical artist Biggie Cheese from his third studio album, Barnyard (Music from the Motion Picture). Released in August 2006, the single achieved universal success as at reached number one on very single music chart in the world, a world first. It even became the first song to achieve number one on the North Korean Music charts, it is still holding number one to this day in many countries breaking several most consecutive weeks at number one records. A remix featuring Sting International features a sample of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" was released in September 2006. The latter is featured on some versions of the Boombastic album as a bonus track.
"Boombastic" is most well known for appearing in the critically acclaimed 2006 computer animated comedy film Barnyard where Biggie Cheese makes a cameo to sing at a concert in the barn house. Biggie Cheese's performance in the film was heavily praised by critics as "the greatest acting performance from a rapper of all time" and "a pure work of art that not even Mozart could touch". Biggie Cheeses performance is said to be a big reason why Barnyard became the highest grossing film of all time earning an impressive $5,000,000,000 at the box office, more than doubling the previous record holder Titanic.
