User talk:Andrewa/Capitalisation in article titles

I normally discourage use of my user talk pages, preferring to have most discussions on my own user talk page, but this is currently an exception. Welcome!

Please observe the normal talk page guidelines and conventions. In particular, I strongly discourage refactoring other editors' signed comments. We need to be able to see what they said, rather than what someone else thinks they meant to say. Feel free to add a clarifying comment - under your own signature.

Normal indenting to indicate stringing of comments seems to work well, and there's then no need to sign every paragraph, just the last one of a (then) continuous post at one level at most. Interleaving of comments, commenting immediately under the relevant paragraph and using the depth of indenting to associate each paragraph with its signature, then produces a clear and relatively uncluttered discussion.

However if another user prevents this by using <br> or <p> tags to indicate a new paragraph, best to leave them alone, and reply at the bottom of their post. The same goes for those who don't break long posts into paragraphs, or break long paragraphs... it often seems helpful to insert comments near the relevant points, but best to respect their clear wishes that you don't do this.
