Bazar-Korgon is a raion (district) of Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. The capital lies at Bazar-Korgon.[1] Its area is 1,965 square kilometres (759 sq mi), and its resident population was 142,951 in 2009.[2]

Rural communities and villages

In total, Bazar-Korgon District includes 9 rural communities (aiyl okmotus). Each rural community can consist of one or several villages. The rural communities and settlements in the Bazar-Korgon District are:[3][2]

  1. Akman aiyl okmotu (villages Jangy-Akman, Jarake, Kayyrma, Kolot, Kosh-Korgon, Tash-Bulak)
  2. Bazar-Korgon aiyl okmotu (villages Bazar-Korgon, Besh-Badam, Jeti-Koshkon)
  3. Beshik-Jon aiyl okmotu (villages Beshik-Jon, Jon, Baymunduz, Karacha)
  4. Arstanbap okmotu (villages Arslanbob, Bel-Terek, Gumkhana, Jay-Terek, Jaradar)
  5. Kyzyl-Ünkür aiyl okmotu (villages Kyzyl-Ünkür, Ak-Bulak, Jaz-Kechüü, Katar-Jangak, Koso-Terek)
  6. Mogol aiyl okmotu (villages Oogon-Talaa, Kara-Oy, Kyzyl-Suu, Köktöndü, Charbak, imeni Chkalova)
  7. Saydykum aiyl okmotu (villages Saydykum, Arkalyk, Jany-Abad, Jash-Lenin, Dösh, Dukur, Kyzyl-Ay, Toychubek-Chek, Turpak-Korgon, Khajir-Abad, Chek, Chong-Kurulush)
  8. Talduu-Bulak aiyl okmotu (villages Kaba, Sara-Jayyk, Katar-Jangak, Ak-Tyt, Üch-Bulak, Ak-Terek, Kök-Alma, Kyrgoo)
  9. Kengesh aiyl okmotu (villages Sovetskoye, Auk, Kara-Jygach, Kyzyl-Oktyabr, Mogol-Korgon, Pervoye Maya, Seyit-Kazy, Shydyr)
