Era styles, claims Britons invented the calendar, etc

We've got WP:ERA just to avoid people adding their preferred styles. Most of your changes were against our guideline. One of your main purposes here seems to be to change era styles to meet your preference. Given that, your other edits and your talk page edits, you aren't really here to help build the encyclopedia. You obviously like straight talking so I'll be straight with you - you need to change your ways or you are likely to be blocked. Doug Weller talk 17:27, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

British dates should use British styles. That is the rule. And please don't insult me with your ridiculous assertions about my intentions. I read about a 100 pages for each one that I feal is clearly wrong and needs to be edited.

it's people like you that stopped me helping out on Wikipedia.

No, there is no rule that British dates should use British styles. And there is no British style. To my surprise, the Daily Mail used BCE recently.[1] Just follow the guideline and you'll be ok. Follow your own made up rule.... Doug Weller talk 19:17, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Of course there is a rule that you use the appropriate dating system and don't force your own political views onto history.

The simple fact is that churchmen not only created the modern Calendar but without these churchmen we wouldn't have any Roman dates nor much of British History. There is also another golden rule that you respect the original person who created an idea and acknowledge them when using their system. British history is based on the AD system, Likewise Roman history. And you are disrespecting the hard work of the people without whom you would have no dates to use by bastardising the system they invented.

And please, I have no interest in discussing the subject with someone who has such disdain for our historians so please don't bother responding.

Because that's what it seems to be, an attempt to impose your favorite dating system on at least British articles. Doug Weller talk 17:05, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's nothing of the sort, you've got a bee in your bonnet and really should find some passtime which doesn't involve trying to attack people who are not doing anything wrong.

Please note: Wikipedia:Harassment. You seem to have no interest in the merits of any edits. Instead you seem to be against me making any perfectly reasonable improvements where the articles are not consistent.

Note. Your last pedantic attack, was when I removed CE from a date that did not require it. And what do I find on the next window: this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aulus_Plautius

Please go away and do something more useful!!!
