Georgakis Kapsokalyvas (around 1800) was a fighter of the Greek Revolution.

Biography

He descended from Zatouna of the eparchy of Karytaina. He was an excellent captain and served Greece with a lot of zeal and willingness. He was in all the battles with his soldiers and was under the commands of Theodoros Kolokotronis and Dimitris Plapoutas. He used to advise his men to fight quietly and carefully in order not to waste ammo. He also said that "the rifles weren't made for shooting the sky, but for killing the enemies". Saying this, he made his soldiers take honour on who would kill the most Turks.
