"Disaster Week" is a group of three episodes of the BBC soap opera EastEnders, episodes 5430, 5431 and 5432, broadcast between 23 and 26 January 2017 on BBC One. The episodes include a bus crash in Albert Square, and the departures of the characters ???, who left the series after ??? years in the role. During the episodes, ???

Plot

23 January 2017

Emerald moves out of Kim's home and in with Denise.

Lee and Whitney are invited to see Whitiney's brother Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) in Wakefield but Lee is against it.

Jay looks for a new home, and as he and Billy get stuck in traffic while collecting a corpse, Jay fears he will never find a relationship but Billy tells him to live his life as normal.

The market traders hear that the market may be moved, so Martin attempts to get the other traders to strike, but they refuse.

Bex tells Shakil off for standing by while Keegan made fun of Louise. The school closes early so Louise, Bex, Shakil, Keegan and their friends get the bus home, while Denise is also on the bus.

Denise worries when the bus driver appears ill and drives the wrong way.

Tina, Shirley and Sylvie travel on the tube, and while Martin protests, the driver suffers a heart attack and drives the bus through the market, crashing into a rail bridge.
