Summer 1984, Rodney Wastelands (voice) dreams of being a rock star. He relays his fantasy to Mudd Puddle (bass). Mudd proposes the idea to Rusty Talent (guitar). The dream is alive! RANDOM KILLING is born! After writing a few decent songs, the band emerged into the Toronto hardcore scene. Playing around town with bands such as Bunchofuckingoofs, The Asexuals, The Problem Children and The Reagan Youth Party. They released a series of internationally distributed vinyl and CDs between 1985 and 1997. In 1995, their song "Twelve" from Thoughts of Aggression (Raw Energy, 1994), was re-recorded at CBC Studios and released as a series of animated videos by Sesame Park and subsequently picked up by Sesame Street where it aired internationally for a decade. In 1998, the band performed live on CTV's Open Mike with Mike Bullard. Their song "Undertaker", was featured in a 2008 Space (TV channel) documentary titled "Zombiemania". Random Killing perform mainly in Ontario and Quebec but have toured Canada and played in the US. They have performed with bands such as Ripcordz, Armed and Hammered, Dayglo Abortions, GBH, Agnostic Front, Bad Brains, Propagandhi, D.O.A., UK Subs, Bunchofuckingoofs, Coffin Break, and Submachine to name a few. Random Killing recently celebrated 30 years of uninterrupted punk rock service (1984 - 2014) and is still active despite band members living in both Montreal and Toronto.
