IMHO Plan9's Fossil and Venti form kind of hierarchical storage, as the Fossil is used oft as fast cache for Venti placed on slower access media. They could be mentioned on this page. Not sure, thou, so posting this there rather than modifying page itself.--Dexen 10:07, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Infinistore Virtual Disk/File System Extender

Infinistore Virtual Disk (IVD) from Grau Data Storage (www.graudatastorage.de) and File System Extender (FSE) from Hewlett Packard (http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/fse/) are two new(er) players on the market.
