Askill (Irish: An Ascaill, meaning 'the angle, recess') is a small village in Achill, County Mayo, Ireland. It is surrounded by Dooniver and Bunnacurry.

Askill is formally known An Ascill means the word cilliah ridge of the hill, and its town-land in North Leitrim area, close to Lough Melvin lake,


this area was part of the barony of Rosclogher during the Penal law in 1835 when a chapel was showing up in the town-land Keel which was the pre-famine chapel was built between 1739 to 1751 until the present church at Rosclogher was built in August 12th 1889 which belong to diocese of county Fermanagh
