Merge proposal

I propose to merge this article with the one on the Kermadec Trench, and also with the one on the Kermadec-Tonga Subduction Zone, as they are all part of the same tectonic feature. Tmangray (talk) 16:58, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apollo 13 RTG

I think we need a bit more on this, if anyone has access to sources. Is it known where exactly in the trench the RTG lies? Was retrieval ever intended and would such a thing be possible? Have there been studies to measure radioactivity in the area to see if the thing is leaking? Any well-sourced information would be appreciated in the article. Pop Culture References

In the movie Batman vs Superman, the submersible recording had the name of the trench in the caption when Aquaman is seen. Should that be included in this article as a pop culture reference?
