Luke Adam Patel (born 6 October 1990) is an English cricketer. Patel is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire and was educated at Outwood Grange Academy.[1]

While studying for his degree in Sports at Durham University,[1] Patel made his first-class debut for Durham MCCU against Nottinghamshire in 2010. He made 6 further first-class appearances for the team from 20111-2013, playing against Warwickshire and Yorkshire.[2] In his seven first-class matches, he scored 167 runs at an average of 13.91, with a high score of 32.[3] With the ball, he took a three wickets which came at an overall cost of 271 runs.[4]

Family

Patel is the Grandson of Wakefield trinity legend Keith Holliday and nephew to former Wakefield Trinity player Barry Holliday.
