Josephine Tan is a Malaysian model and a beauty pageant titleholder. In 2016, she became the first ever Malaysian to win Supermodel International 2016.[1]

Personal Life

Josephine was born in Kuantan, Pahang. She is of a Chinese ancestry. She says she describes herself as a kind hearted and an ambitious girl who likes exploring and venturing into something new to achieve higher heights. She also spends her time collecting heels, makeup, cute hair-bands, rings, necklace and earrings.[2]

Josephine obtained her Diplomas in Broadcasting in St. John's University of New York.

Pageantry Life

Josephine starts joining beauty pageants when she was just 18 years old. She participated in Miss Malaysia Model of the World back in 2009 but failed to win the crown and was placed as 3rd Runner-up.

In 2011, she participated in the X Top Model Search Malaysia but didnt manage to be placed as the semifinalist. Although she was not placed, she won the Best in Catwalk Award.

In 2013, Josephine participated in Miss Earth Malaysia 2013 as one of the semifinalist selected all across Malaysia. She ultimately won the title for showing shepherd passion and love doing the charity works for the Earth and people. She later represented Malaysia in Miss Earth 2013 but she failed to gain a placement but she managed to brought home The X Factor Award.

In 2016, Josephine was the winner of Supermodel International Malaysia 2016. She represented Malaysia and won the Supermodel International 2016 crown and ultimately became the first ever women from Malaysia to win an international crown.[3]

Asia's Next Top Model

Josephine was selected as one of the two Malaysian representatives in Asia's Next Top Model (Cycle 2) alongside with Sheena Liam. She was always consistently strong during the competition. She was also the judges favourites. But sadly, she was eliminated on episode 10 and finished the 6th place.[4]
