Polynesian Dog
Do you mind helping me do some copyediting for Polynesian Dog (this is intended as an umbrella article for all the different sub-breeds) and the Marquesan Dog? Thanks for the help.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:58, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

- I bought this Paul Gauguin reproduction when I was on my third trip to Tahiti on a 5 week South Pacific vacation in 1987.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 20:59, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- I had asked the Reference Desk if it had any value = turned out very little.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 21:04, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks!--KAVEBEAR (talk) 14:42, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- But it is a nice picture. Although, given the tenor of the article, I wonder if she was just preparing dinner? 7&6=thirteen (☎) 22:05, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, I guess
For taking action on the comment that was placed on my talk page. I found the comment rather weird really but still! Thanks! -=Troop=- (talk) 21:27, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- He needs to get with the program. Either contribute or disrupt. It's his choice. Vandalism only accounts get shown the door pretty fast at WP:AIV. Give him WP:Rope and some warnings. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 21:30, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- User:Trooper1005 And I didn't go to WP:AIV, but here User:Roblon111 got blocked. Like I said, it's a short fuse. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 02:12, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yes I have seen. Since I put most of the talk pages I edit on my Watchlist, most of the people I warn get blocked within a few minutes if they stack up the warnings. Even some users with only 2 warnings get blocked too if they are just here to make inappropriate edits. -=Troop=- (talk) 12:29, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

I hereby award you the hottest accolade available for the outstanding improvements made to Paul Rapsey Hodge and his fire engine invention. Doug Coldwell (talk) 22:04, 19 March 2017 (UTC) |

I did the DYK review for this and approved. But there is one point in the article itself I find confusing. Please see the section I put on the talk page. MB 01:18, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- User:MB Did a clarifying footnote. Good suggestion.
- Thanks for the review. I'm thinking about the alternate hooks now. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 01:46, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- That takes care of it. One more comment - I think the article doesn't truly bring out the terror of the trip. Skimming the sources show things likes encountering fierce storms, sharks, the torn rotator cuff, and getting entangled with a giant squid or whale. MB 02:03, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- And everything that could go wrong did. I also did not give as much attention as could be to the unique design of this boat. The French paddler's failure was a lesson well learned and not repeated. Good suggestion. I'm getting worn out tonight, but I'll try to put something together soon. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 02:10, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Peak of Perfection
Little Engine that Could | |
You were certainly geared correctly to climb that mountain of obstacles on the George Escol Sellers article, as you pushed it all the way to the very top. Great job!!! Doug Coldwell (talk) 18:22, 26 March 2017 (UTC) |
- Thanks. But we're still climbing. That would be a premature celebration. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 20:03, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
- I know you will be able to get it to the peak of perfection, as you have a lot of steam left.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 20:38, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
