Photomath is a mobile application described as a "camera calculator"[3], which utilizes your phone's camera to recognize mathematical patterns and to display the solution directly onscreen. It is available on Google Android and iOS. The application was released in 2014 by microblink, a company based in Zagreb, Croatia, with a registered office in London, United Kingdom.[4][5][6] The company specializes in text recognition software.[7]
It was downloaded between 10 and 50 million times on Google Play.[8]
As of 2016, apart from printed texts, it also recognizes handwriting.[9]
