Malani Bulathsinhala (12 December 1949 - 29 March 2001) was a Sri Lankan classical musician.[1] She was in the United States to perform a concert when she was found dead in the bathroom at the residence of the Sri Lanka consul Tissa Wijeratne.

She was born to Wilson and P. K. Bulathsinghala on December 12, 1949 in Boralesgamuwa. She had an older brother, an older sister, and a younger sister. She was the wife of musician H. M. Jayawardena[2] and the mother of Kasun Kalhara.[3] Her college education was in Boralesgamuwa and at Papiliyana Beacon School for Girls. Movies and Music Director of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, grade excellent player H. M. Her son married Kasun Jayawardene Jayawardene. She served as Assistant Director of Education in the Sri Jayewardenepura province.

She began her career at the age of 10, as a child artist with the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation[4].
She graduated from State song and Music College of Fine Arts with a diploma in Music from Lucknow Bathkand Sarasaviyenda. "San̆davaṭa Rantharu" was the first of her contributions to Malini songs.
