[edit]Hello, I'm Jdcomix. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to United States Army Central have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at St. Vith, you may be blocked from editing. Jdcomix (talk) 14:38, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
I am a representative of a non-profit organization, the Battle of the Bulge Association, and we are trying to direct readers who are interested in the Bulge to our website (battleofthebulge.org). I am just adding links to our website, on articles that are related to the Battle of the Bulge, where they can find more information about the Bulge. We have 30 years of newsletters with articles about the Battle on our website, plus news about reunions etc. I am not a spammer. Is there a way I can do this withort being seen as a spammer, or is there an automatic limit to how many articles one can link to? Thanks. Traceyboba (talk) 15:06, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's definition of spam includes adding links to a website or organisation with which you are affiliated and seeking to direct wikipedia readers to your site - see WP:SPAMMER. So no, there really is not a way you can add these links without being seen as a spammer. If you think the links have value for the encyclopedia itself, rather than for the benefit of your association, then you can try suggesting their inclusion on the article's talk page and see if other editors agree (if they do, they can then add the link, which also avoids the conflict of interest issue that you have). Cheers, Melcous (talk) 02:51, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for the explanation, Melcous! I will not add any more links (I was asked to do so by the organization, but I will tell them it is against Wiki policy.) Best regards! Traceyboba (talk) 19:51, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
