I just went through and tagged a bunch of the buttons and banners with {{CopyrightByWikimedia}} - I'm a little unclear on the copyright permissions for the current logo, but I'm quite sure it's not Public Domain or GFDL at this point. Any corrections or clarifications are welcome. -- nae'blis 19:13, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this button OK?

I just made a Wikipedia button to use on a web page; it includes the Wikipedia logo, and I'm unsure whether or not it breaks the Wikipedia logo rules.

Also, I have another one with the colours of the Wikipedia globe inverted. Is this ok? - R160K 22:11, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which graphic to use for linking to my userpage?

I want to use a graphic for linking to my Wikipedia user-page from within my own website (external to Wikipedia). I don't want a banner, neither a very small (80x15) button. The perfect size would be something between 100-180px width and 40-100 height. It should be recognisable to site visitors as a graphic leading to Wikipedia, and I want to use it to link to my own user page rather than Wikipedia's main page, because the purpose of the link is to allow visitors of my site meet me on Wikipedia. I am however, a bit confused by the Wikimedia's visual identity guidelines and the GFDL or not-GFDL licensing issues of some of the graphics I see on this page (some images are tagged both with a GFDL licence and another tag which says it isn't GFDL, go figure...). Can someone point me to a graphic, preferably one officially endorsed or accepted by Wikimedia, that I can use for linking to my userpage, without delving into obscure trademarking issues and licensing?
