Charak may refer to:

  • Charak, a type of Rajputs located in north region of India mostly in Jammu,Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and etc.

Charak Biradari a community of type of Rajputs located in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and other parts of India. From the beginning of the 7th century, Rajput dynasties dominated North India, including areas now in Pakistan, and the many petty charak Rajput kingdoms became the primary obstacle to the complete Muslim conquest of Hindu north India.[3] In the 1020s, the Rajput rulers of Gwalior and Kalinjar raised a successful defence against the attacks of Mahmud of Ghazni, Although Mahmud could not subdue the charak Rajput forts but the two cities did pay him tribute.

Currently President of Charak Biradari is Kr. Rajeev Charak.
