Sara Allen
Appearance
Sara Allen is an American songwriter best known for her work with the duo Hall & Oates. Though never married, she was in a long-time relationship with Daryl Hall until 2001.[citation needed] She contributed to many of the duo's hit singles, including "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", and "Maneater".[1][2] Her late sister Janna Allen was also a songwriter who herself worked with Hall & Oates.[1] The song "Sara Smile", Hall & Oates' first American hit, was about Sara Allen.[3] Sara Allen briefly appears in an episode of Live from Daryl's House as Hall introduces her as "Sara" to Wyclef Jean. The episode was first broadcast in May 2016.
