Belanglo State Forest is a planted forest, of mainly Radiata Pine, but some native forestry around the edges in the Australian state of New South Wales; its total area is about 3,800 hectares.[1] The Belanglo State Forest is located south of Berrima being apart of Sutton Forest to its east in the Southern Highland. Belanglo is three kilometres west of the Hume Highway between Sydney and Canberra. The forest is owned by the New South Wales Government which was established in the early turn of the 20th century and contains some of the earliest pine plantings in the state and Australia. The public has free access to the forest; it features two to four wheel drive tracks, creek crossings, and forest camping. It is popular among recreational trail bike riders. Not only this however it is further popular amongst horse riders, as the fire trails provide range of endurance, being a variety of up and down hill slopes towards the boundaries of the Pine Forest. Belanglo State Forest also provides a wide range of wild life both native and introduce.
