Introduction
Laura-Guido Clark is a respected designer of color, material and texture of consumer products. She has been dubbed a 'Product Skin Expert' reflecting her interest and study of human reactions to the look and feel of new products. [1]
Guido-Clark is a native of Deerborn, Michigan. She attended Wayne State University, Detroit. [2] As a child she was inspired by Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Suess and The Wizard of Oz [3] leading her to choose design over medicine as her major. [4]
She founded the non-profit Project Colour Corps with the aim of improving the aesthetics and impact of urban neighborhood schools through painting with color, pattern and positive messages.[5]
In 2014 the IIDA Northern California Chapter awarded her with their Leadership Award of Excellence. [6] Alongside Laurie Pressman of Pantone and Kat Holmes of Microsoft she was a member of the interview panel for the documentary 'Color in Sight'.
