Naval School (Portugal)

The Portuguese Naval School (Escola Naval) is a military school of university higher education founded in 1845, whose mission is the training of Naval Officers. The School is located inside the Naval Base of Lisbon, in the South bank of the Tagus river.

Academics

In addition to a care curriculum of academic and professional program, majors are offered during a 5 years program in 6 fields:

Operational Navy Science (Seaman)

  • Naval Medicine
  • Naval Engineering - Mechanics
  • Naval Engineering - Weapons and Electronics
  • Naval Supply and Logistic
  • Marine Corps

Other Programs:

  • Training program for Special Duty Officers
  • Training program for Limited Duty Officers
  • Basic Training program for Officers
